Is everybody aware that the axe is about to fall on Language teaching at VU? Chinese, Spanish and Japanese are about to go, the only survivor being Vietnamese.
For those of us doing a language major, this is likely to come as a big surprise because the negotions preceeding this decision have excluded students!

VU staff are going on strike over looming retrenchments of over 200 staff. Give them a wave at the picket lines or why not stand with them at the picket lines. Remember their future is very connected to your future. United we stand and divided we fall; its not rocket science.
